Sarah Buri, DVM
Although born in Pennsylvania, Dr. Sarah Buri grew up mainly in the South. She has loved animals for as long as she could remember, especially horses. A family trip to Yellowstone National Park cemented her desire to one day live in such an awe inspiring region of the country.
Dr. Sarah completed her bachelor degree in agriculture with a concentration in pre-veterinary sciences at Tennessee Technological University where she competed on the intercollegiate equestrian team. It was during this time she also developed an interest in cutting and roping which she continues to develop her interests for to this day.
She went on to complete her veterinary education through the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include internal medicine for all species along with equine sports medicine and rehab.
Dr. Sarah joined the Cody Veterinary Hospital team in 2020 as a recent graduate as passionate about small town, community-based medicine as we are. However, it is her genuine, empathetic approach to each patient and client that makes Dr. Sarah truly stand out, and we are excited to welcome her at CVH.
In her free time, Dr. Sarah enjoys hitting the trails with her horse, Jake, hiking in the mountains, or kayaking down the river. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and training her new project horse, Shine. Although far from her Tennessee home, she is excited about the unique opportunities and beauty that Wyoming has to offer.
