Fred Hisaw, DVM
Dr. Fred Hisaw grew up in a logging and ranching community in central Oregon. Before veterinary school, he left home to earn his bachelor’s degree in animal science with a focus on farm and ranch management at the University of Idaho. Dr. Fred then went on to receive his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University. His special interests include soft tissue surgery, beef production medicine, and equine dentistry.
Dr. Fred’s appreciation for the variety rural mixed animal practices offer helped lead him to Wyoming. After practicing in Laramie for a few years, Dr. Fred and his wife moved across the state to Park County where he joined Cody Veterinary Hospital in 2022. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Fred to CVH. His thoughtful, compassionate approach to every aspect of veterinary medicine and his expertise across a wide range of areas makes him a great addition to our team.
In his free time, Dr. Fred is excited to take full advantage of all Park County has to offer. He enjoys automotive diesel performance, camping, hiking, hunting, and pretty much anything else outdoors with his wife, dogs, and horses.
