Kaycee Stagner-Hanzlik, DVM

Kaycee

Dr. Kaycee Stagner-Hanzlik has been crazy about animals for as long as she can remember. She was raised in beautiful Craig, Colorado where she spent most of her childhood preparing her next 4-H project for fair or helping her dad keep hunters in the saddle with their outfitting business.

She was an active member of 4-H and FFA working on her favorite projects, raising pigs and showing horses. Dr. Kaycee spent many summers working for a veterinary clinic in Craig, which further enriched her passion and future in veterinary medicine.

Although Colorado was home, Dr. Kaycee realized the superior opportunities Wyoming had to offer and attended the University of Wyoming for her undergraduate degree. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in animal and veterinary science and went on to pursue her doctorate in veterinary medicine at Oklahoma State University.

Once a cowgirl always a cowgirl, Dr. Kaycee returned to Wyoming after falling in love with the state. She has been an invaluable addition to the Cody Veterinary Hospital team with her efficient, skillful approach to veterinary medicine as well as her bright smile and the positivity she brings to every situation. Dr. Kaycee’s professional interests include bovine herd health and reproduction, swine production, small animal internal medicine and surgery in all species.

When Dr. Kaycee isn’t working, she can often be found on the trail with her husband Clayton, her horses, and her dog Annie or swinging a few loops in the roping arena. She also enjoys reading a good book, attending a good sermon, and enjoying good times with good people. She loves to travel and particularly enjoys visiting Disney World with her family.
